community in South Central PA. Your contribution helps the organization to
serve our community better. When you donate online, you help twice over, as it
is the most cost-efficient channel of collecting funds for HARI. HARI is a

FACILITY
HARI has a beautiful RAMA
TEMPLE which is located
off Interstate-83 in New Cumberland, PA. The centrally heated and air-conditioned
temple building is constructed on a 7-acre wooded lot on Steigerwalt Hollow Road off State Route
114 and has easy access from all major highways in and around Harrisburg, PA.
HARI serves the spiritual, cultural and educational needs of HINDUS living in
the greater Harrisburg area, York,
Carlisle, Reading, Lancaster,
Lebanon, Gettysburg,
Grantville and other Central Pennsylvania
communities. A Gateway Arch adorns the entrance to the temple from Steigerwalt Hollow Road.
The beautiful
stone-faced, framed structure of the temple houses the deities on the main
floor, which can accommodate nearly 450 devotees during major events. Worship
of Ram Parivar, the presiding deities at the temple, is conducted in the altar
located in the central part of the main floor. Besides the main deities, there
are other deities that are worshipped, namely, Durgamatha, Saraswathi,
Mahaveer, Radha-Krishna, Shiv-Parvathi and Balaji who are located in the wall
nitches on either side of the main deities. The main floor is also used to
conduct religious celebrations, bhajan programs, religious and other lectures,
weddings, havans, Sathyanarayana pooja and katha, cultural events such as music
and dance programs and other general interest community meetings. A stage is
available for the use of the speakers, artists and performers. The temple has
three independent mixer systems, two of them are located on the main floor and
one in the basement. Following facilities are available at the temple building for the use of devotees:

- Basement floor with independent entrance consists of the following amenities
- a spacious, modern commercial kitchen
- a community hall with stage and sound system where dinners, garbas, and other private functions can be held
- a two-bedroom priest quarters
- rest rooms
- two class rooms
- a coat room
- a storage area
- A nicely landscaped area in front of the temple
- Adequate parking
- Special access for physically challenged persons
- Picnic benches

Dinner Prasad
It has been a tradition at the temple to serve
dinner/prasad to the devotees after each major event. A nominal donation of one
dollar is encouraged from each person. Usually individual devotees or a group
of devotees prepare and provide the dinner/prasad. People interested in
sponsoring dinner/prasad can contact the President of HARI to reserve a day or
a special occasion for dinner/prasad sponsorship

must. First come, first served basis. Based on various factors, this service
may not be available all the time
Regularly Scheduled Events
- Shri Vishnu Sahastra Namam: Please join with your family and friends on every Saturday at 6:15pm.
- Shri
Hanuman Chalisa Recital: Please join with your family and friends for Satsang
and Hanuman Chalisa
Recital on every Saturday between 7:15pm and 8:15pm. - Weekly
Bhajans & Bhagavad Gita Study: Each Friday from 6:30pm to 9:00pm, followed
by prasad.
Institute of Higher Understanding (IoHU) conducts the Bhajans & Bhagavad Gita study in collaboration with

Satyanarayana Puja: HARI observes the Sathyanarayan Puja on each full
moon day (Purnima) from
7:15pm to 9:00pm, seeking Lord’s blessings for good health, peace, and prosperity. Devotees can
participate in the Puja (a token donation of $21 is recommended) - Monthly
Havan:
HARI Devotees conduct Monthly Havan on the second Sunday of each month
from 6:00
pm to 7:00 pm. Any changes to this schedule will be communicated through email. Devotees are
encouraged to participate and sponsor the Monthly Havan. Devotees who wish to sponsor the Monthly
Havan and/or dinner prasad are requested to contact any of the HARI committee members. - Jain
Swadhayay/Puja: Observed on the first Sunday of every month from 2:00pm to
4:00pm, organized by
the Jain Samaj of South Central PA. Devotees are encouraged to participate with friends and family.
HARI SCHOOL
HARI School conducts various educational
activities that promote Hindu religion and Indian culture. The school offers
classes in Hindu Religion; Indian languages such as Gujarati, Hindi and Tamil;
Pre-SAT and SAT preparation classes in Math and English; Indian classical and
folk dances; Indian Classical Vocal; Stress Free Life (Yoga); and Youth Forum
for our youth.

BOARD OF TRUSTEES
The Board of
Trustees is empowered by H.A.R.I. BYE-LAWS to manage the affairs, business and
property of this corporation. - The Board shall meet at least once a month.- Meeting schedule shall be established ahead of time. Meetings shall be open to H.A.R.I. members and shall be conducted by the chairman in a business like manner. All meetings shall start with a prayer;
- Meeting format -- predetermined agenda.
- Report from each committee.
- Issues and concerns.
- Adjournment.
- The chairman shall take minutes of each board meeting, and the highlights shall be published in H.A.R.I. Times.
- The chairman shall keep record of all Board meetings and activities.
- The outgoing chairman shall hand over all H.A.R.I. records to the incoming chairman as soon as a new chairman is elected.
- The Chairman shall assign each trustee certain tasks for the smooth operation of H.A.R.I..
- The chairman with the consent of other trustees shall appoint the following committees to perform various tasks.
- Finance committee.
- Public relations committee.
- Security and legal committee.
- Building maintenance and planning committee.
- Land and lot maintenance committee.
