Sri Lalitha Devi is the Divine Mother, compassionate and caring (ambika), without beginning and end (anaadhinidhanaa), worshipped and served by Gods including Vishnu, Brahma and Indra (haribrahmendra sevitaa), all-pervasive and exists in every human, guiding them in attaining moksha (naaraayani), in the form of cosmic sound (naadaroopa) and as Para-Brahman Sri Lalitha Devi is distinct from name and physical form (naamaroopa vivarjitaa)

About Us

Sri Sri Sri Lalitha Devi Peetham was started on Mar 22, 2009 with the Prana Prathistha of Sri Lalitha Devi. Sri Lalitha Devi fulfills all desires of her Devotees. Her compassion and care will be with them at all times and in all situations.
The Shakti (power) of Sri Lalitha Devi is best described by the words “haribrahmendra sevitaa” in the above Sloka. She is worshipped by all Gods including Vishnu, Brahma and Indra. Sri Lalitha Devi is also known as “vaageeramaa sevitaa”, meaning she is served by Goddesses Saraswati and Lakshmi. Goddesses Saraswati and Lakshmi fan Sri Lalitha Devi with the Divine Fans (vinjaamara) at all times.
Sri Lalitha Devi Temple has been founded to provide a place for devotees to Worship, Serve and Meditate on the All-Powerful Mother and attain their desires through Sri Lalitha Devi’s blessings.
We request all devotees to come and Worship the Divine Mother through religious activities (Archana, Abhisheka and others) and become recipients of Her Divine Blessings.

About Priest

Sankaramanchi Nagendra Prasad (Sharmaji) was born in 1967 East Godavari District, India. His ancestors from thirteen generations were members of the priest class and for centuries had been in charge of the temple in their village Tapeshwaram. At the age of 9, Sharmaji entered the priesthood, as had many previous family members from Amaravati. He graduated from Sri Venkateshwara Vedic School, Tirupathi and came to US in 1994 to Aurora Temple, Chicago. In 1997, he was asked by Datta Yoga Center through Ganapathi Sachidanda Swa. miji’s blessings to accept a position as Head Priest in Datta Temple, Baton Rouge, LA. He continued his career in Datta Temple as a registered Hindu priest with East Baton Rouge Clerk of Court. In august 2007, he got relieved from his responsibilities as Head priest from Datta Temple. During this time he performed many pujas in temple and with devotees all around the nation for many festivals and special occasions.
Beginning August 2007, he independently started performing all religious ceremonies as a step towards building his personal service to the community. He started his first religious service with Lord Ganesh Puja on Vinayaka Chavithi on 09/15/2007 with all the support from devotees and friends.
We expect full support and encouragement from all the devotees in his future developments just as much in the past. Being true believers of ancestors and pious culture with utmost admiration and whole hearted dedication, Sharmaji is participating in propagating the Vedic culture for all devotees. With an intention to reach every devotee we started this website to share our thoughts and provide services.
