History and Mission
Shri Ram Mandir was established on January 1st, 2009 to meet the religious needs of the Indian Community in North Dallas and Collin counties in Texas. Murti Sthapanas were completed in three phases, the last one in October 2009 with sthapna of Shri Ram durbar.
The Mission of Shri Ram Mandir is to provide a place of worship for all Hindus, to promote and practice the ideals of Hinduism through worship, social service, and education. We’re accomplishing this through religious/cultural discourses, Gurukul teachings for the young children, yog exercises program for adults, and health fairs at the Mandir.

The goal of Gurukul at Shri Ram Mandir is four fold:
Learn Hindi as
language arts: The children are usually divided into two or more groups
depending on their skill level in the Hindi language.
Bhajans singing: We
learn one bhajan every few weeks and Gurukul students also perform these
bhajans at the Mandir on various occassions.
Naitik shiksha (Moral
education): We cover one moral story every week and discuss the moral of the
story and lesson learned
Based on the time of
the year, we cover one Hindu festival, details of the significance and why we
celebrate this festival. We also cover shloks and meaning and recital of the
shlok in this section
If
you are interested in enrolling your child, please feel free to bring him/her
