Mandir or Temple is the abode of God. The Temple is the focus for all aspects of everyday life in the Hindu community - religious, cultural, educational and social. The Radha-Krishna Temple (also known as the “Hindu Temple of Kern County”) is a non-profit organization, actively fulfilling the spiritual, cultural, and social needs of the Hindu community of the Kern County area. This site provides information on the forthcoming festivals at the Temple, and other related community events.


Hindu Temple of Kern County has started a volunteer services credit program for High School and College Students.

Hindu Temple of Kern County has started a volunteer services credit program for High School and College Students. If any high school or college student wants to participate to earn these volunteer services program credits for their school or college, please fill the form printed on the other side of letter and send it to the following address:

The following are few and growing list of Volunteer Services Projects at Hindu Temple of Kern County that a student can participate and earn credits:
1) General Cleaning Help in Garden, Kitchen, Temple Hall and Rooms, Parking, and Premise.
2) Gardening Help in Temple Premise.
3) Playing with, Tutoring and supervising young Kids.
4) General Help during Temple Events. (e.g., Setting Up, Preparing and Mailing Flyers, Help Priests etc.)
5) Volunteering to teach skills to young kids and Adults. (E.g. Computer, Graphics, Editing, Different Languages etc.)

Hindu Temple of Kern County will decide, monitor discipline, and assign program duties if there are too many or too few selections.
