Welcome to the website for the Sri Narayan Hindu Temple in Yuba City. The temple has served the Yuba-Sutter community since 1996.  Please check the calendar for auspicious dates for 2012, and plan to visit this beloved temple and community.
Regular Hours:  Open Daily 8 a.m. – 7:30 p.m., the Temple closes for 3 hours midday between 12 noon – 3 p.m.

UPCOMING EVENTS: Bhajan Kirtan followed by Aarti, Preeti Bhojan. Program starts at 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Saturday, August 3, 2013.
Volunteer!  Come for 10 minutes, or come for several hours.  Flexible hours.  Do something helpful; vacuum the hall, sort out the fruit, clean the facilities, Windex the mirrors in the entry way.  If you have the time, there is always a need for you.  Thank you.

About

The temple was founded on March 1, 1996 by Hardial Singh Hunji in honor of his late wife, Kushlia Devi Hunji. According to Mr. Hunji, she appeared in his dream years after her death and reminded him to build a temple that would serve as a gathering place for people of the Hindu faith. Her dream was realized a year later, in 1996, with a land donation and monetary contribution from Mr. Hunji along with additional donations from community members. The Sri Narayan Hindu Temple continues service with the help of the community and support of those who attend, and appreciates the kindness and generosity of everyone who attends daily aarti as well as weekend satsang. Please visit, and continue to support the temple as we embark each coming day afresh with new vigor, and hope for the future for our children, ourselves and our communities.

DIRECTIONS FROM EAST BAY /SOUTH BAY – Take the I-80 East exit towards Sacramento. Merge on I-80 East (40.9 mi). Take the I-80 exit towards Reno (0.6 mi). Merge on I-80 East (3.7 mi). Take the CA-99/I-5 exit towards Redding/Sacramento(0.1 mi). Continue towards CA-99/I-5 North/Redding(0.7 mi). Merge on I-5 North(2.8 mi). Take the CA-70/CA-99 exit towards Marysville/Yuba City(0.7 mi). Continue on CA-70 North/CA-99 NORTH (4.3 mi). Continue on El Centro Blvd(7.5 mi). Continue on CA-99 North(21.9 mi). Turn Left on Franklin Rd (0.8 mi)
DIRECTIONS FROM NAPA VALLEY – Take I-80 East. Take the CA-113 North exit towards Woodland (0.7 mi). Merge on CA-113 North (11.8 mi). Continue on I-5 North (0.4 mi). Take the CA-113 North exit towards Yuba City (0.4 mi). Turn Right on N East St (0.8 mi). Continue on CA-113 (26.1 mi). Turn Left on Sawtelle Ave (5 mi). Continue on CA-99 (3.5 mi). Turn Left on Franklin Rd (7.5 mi).
DIRECTIONS FROM DOWNTOWN SACRAMENTO – Take I-5 N entry ramp to Redding (13 mi.) CA-70/CA-99 exit to Yuba City/Marysville (0.8 mi). Continue on CA-99 N. Turn left at Franklin Rd (0.8 mi.)
