Visit to Shree Krishna Temple, Wolverhampton
On Tuesday 21st
February, Year 4 visited the Shree Krishna Temple in Woverhampton. We were met
by Jim, who shared his knowledge of Hinduism before letting us explore the
prayer room and get a closer look at the deities. The temple was full of
flowers and the deities were wearing their finest garments because
they had celebrated a festival the previous day. The children were
then able to ask questions about what they had seen and heard.
Whilst we were there, we also had the opportunity to watch people coming into the temple to pray. We were all offered a piece of fruit or a sweet to take with us when we left. The children behaved beautifully and asked some very sensible questions, and they all enjoyed travelling on the green double decker bus!
