Welcome to the Temple Experience !!!
As you enter the Shiva Vishnu temple premises, you'll find it residing on a 32 acre land with scenic surroundings. The Shiva Vishnu temple reaches out to serve spiritual, cultural and social dimensions of the society. This Hindu temple (Vedic temple) is open to ALL and serves ALL. It is a history made as a result of dedicated and loving efforts of leading members of Cleveland community who intended to shape a vision and the Shiva Vishnu Temple Logo subscribes that vision. In a true sense - it is a temple of the people, for the people and by the people. It is the result of generosity of people and consequently the temple has an interesting timeline. Whether you are visiting us to find some quick information or just taking a web tour of our temple/Viewing and Understanding Deities (DARSHAN) or browsing through the picture portfolio or listening to the devotional music, you will find this site both informative and enjoyable. This site is updated frequently adding to your visiting pleasure. We welcome any constructive comments and input to serve you. Please have a pleasant tour of our temple

The temple offers the Vedic vision of the UNITY through proper understanding the essence of all diversities. There are in fact neither fourteen different Gods and Goddesses presented nor the Lord is confined to idols. Considering it as such would be no different than not recognizing US government beyond the Presidents chair in the oval office. The presence of the US government is on the Moon, going around Mars and so on also. However, the citizens recognize and invoke the US government through various departments and embassies for different functions and needs. The Veda puts it as - though limbs of a body are different and varied the person is one only.
Shiva Vishnu Temple has covered Lords all aspects through the Main Temple Hall. The Lord (Ishwara) is to be understood as both intelligent and material cause of the entire creation. However, each devotee is endowed with unique emotional and intellectual inclinations about which the Veda is very well aware of. It is obvious that one aspect of the Lord may attract a devotee more over Lord's other aspects. This attraction in turn arrests devotees wandering mind in all directions. Arresting minds up and down trips brings out the inherent PEACE and thats what the Main Temple Hall provides for all devotees. It is far from idolatry because the deity lifts the mind to its target that is the understanding alone. The whole process is magnificent if one thinks over and understands it. The temple continues to invite spiritual leaders from various organizations including Arsha Vidya and Chinmaya Mission to share this understanding.
The unity because of understanding is not confined to the four walls only. The Temple serves and promotes unity by reaching out for social well being of the society and its various sectors through cultural and social service activities

Youth and the Shiva Vishnu Temple
"The Bridge to our Heritage is the link between our modern western lifestyle and rich religious and cultural roots of a time and place whence we came. Each member of our community owns a piece of this Temple and will forever know it as a place of they may call home."
      - Fountain of Youth, Oct 26, 1997.

Bridge to our Heritage
In Summer of 1997, a group of youth decided to contribute to the construction of the Shiva Vishnu temple of Cleveland as well as its ongoing maintenance and improvement. As a result Fountain of Youth was founded and has initiated an effort to raise much needed funds for the completion of the temple's construction. Fountain of Youth has decided to offer each member in our community the opportunity to own a piece of the temple, by making a minimum donation of $201.

The 165 Foot bridge that leads to East entrance of the temple, has been named The Bridge to our Heritage. Every member of our community can make a donation to have a child or parent's name engraved in one of the Granite tiles that will line its walls.
